Number 9 from the Futurama movie Into the Wild Green Yonder. I didn't like the movie when I first saw it, but the second time around I thought it was very fun. I liked the Number 9 character from the beginning though.

I love your illustration, but the solid gray damages the image. It's dark and it also messes up the contours of your letters. I think it may also take away from your markers (they look so choppy in comparison to the solid digital color).

There may be a better way to adjust the tone of the actual paper (thus leaving a bit of the paper texture). Tray making your gray separate layer and using multiply (thus making it transparent). You could also try to leave the background white (or light) and putting a border around your image.

After that lengthy critique, I must reiterate that I really enjoy this illustration you have done. and you should totally do some more Futurama fan art, in my opinion.

I agree with that other guy. The gray kinda hurts it. Also the shadow is now brighter than the background.
